Meet The Coaches

Collin McGee

CSCS, CFSC L2, FRCms, Pn1

Collin is the Fitness Director at the Alliance Fitness Center in Reading, PA, and a 2016 graduate of Cornell University. His passion for improving his health, athletic performance, and career-changing injuries led Collin to where he is today. He believes in providing fun, positive training experiences based on education to better people’s lives and sports performance. That includes an ongoing journey for knowledge and turning learning into a lifestyle. He focuses on athlete performance and mobility training for all demographics. Collin is an avid climber, trail runner, and pizza eater!

“My goal is to be the Coach I wish I had. I do not regret my past injuries or experiences because of where I am now. I recognize that I would have guided myself differently with my physical training. However, I can more easily guide those I work with along safer and more effective training journeys to best meet their goals. From high-performance sports to getting off the ground or keeping up with your kids, the ability to move well and without pain is liberation we all seek that enhances the quality of our lives.”

Jesse Firestone

Jesse is a climber for life. He's been climbing double digit boulder problems and 5.13+ routes for well over a decade, and has been fortunate to climb in many of the best areas in the US and the world. He brings an analytical and holistic view to climbing performance, whether the climber is crushing V13, learning how to lead routes on gear, participating in a World Cup, or about to go on their very first bouldering trip.

"As climbers, we are all complex systems. Part of the job of a good coach is to help climbers focus on the right pieces of the system at the right time. I got into coaching to help climbers look at the big picture, find meaningful progression, and get more enjoyment in the process."

Zoe Sayetta, M.S.

I love three things: Coaching, climbing and cats.

Growing up as a competitive gymnast, my love for movement developed early. I have always had a deep appreciation for the human body and its simultaneous strength and vulnerability. It wasn’t until I began coaching competitive gymnastics that I saw the same potential for strength and vulnerability reflected in the mind. With the unrelenting intensity of gymnastics culture, I began to question if high performance sport could co-exist with a healthy culture and approach.

In pursuit of an answer to that question, I chose to study kinesiology and sport psychology in grad school and happened to start climbing around the same time. I immediately fell in love with the culture, complexity and overall lifestyle of climbing and it wasn’t long before I began coaching a local youth team.

After years of coaching and education, I finally have an answer to my question. With the right physical and mental preparation, high performance and health can co-exist. I would be stoked to be a part of the team that helps you achieve your goals in a healthy and sustainable way.
